Dark Tree

Dark Tree was inspired by the gorgeous contrast of wet tree bark and colorful fall leaves. The color that fall was absolutely stunning and I couldn't help wanting to capture a bit of my own view of it. I had also been thinking a lot about how if you compare the seasons to the cycle of life, fall is much like late adulthood. I think it's a lot like when a person has really come into their own and in the peak of their life shows their true beauty, and most beautiful colors. 14"x16", Acrylic paint and collage on paper.
