Lantern

I'd been drawing lots of sketches of a woman with a lantern in a my sketchbook and while I was considering bringing her to life, I turned to a page in an Anthropologie catalogue of a woman holding a lantern, wearing a dress called "Lantern's Glow." Well, synchronicity like that says to me, "Go for it!"

This piece came together with mixed media collage as the base, with layers of acrylic paint over it. She was created intuitively and she feels like a guide through the wilderness of life.

The painting is on a 14"x14" cradled panel, so it can be hung without a frame.

*High quality prints available. Printed on professional grade, velvet fine art paper with a white border for framing. Regular prints are on 13"x19" paper and small print are on 8.5"x11" paper. Framed regular prints would be in a simple, black, 16"x20" frame.
