Underwater Tea Party

This piece was inspired by memories of underwater tea parties in the pools of childhood friends. We didn't take tea pots or dresses into the pool or anything, it was all imaginary, but we'd sit on the floor of the pool and pretend to pour tea and eat cookies. I think this painting is how we were imagining it all. Tea parties were typically followed by pretending to be mermaids. I can smell the chlorine thinking about it. Original is about 8.5"x10.5".
